Continuing Professional Development at RADIUS Imaging: Advancing Hand & Wrist Ultrasound Expertise

At RADIUS Imaging, we are committed to supporting the ongoing professional development of our team and providing opportunities to share knowledge and learn from leading specialists.

Our sonographers recently came together for another Continuing Professional Development (CPD) evening, with a focus on Hand & Wrist Ultrasound.

We were delighted to welcome Rafael Acosta-Rojas MBBS FRACS EBOPRAS, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in Hand & Microsurgery, and Senior Lecturer at Deakin University and the University of Notre Dame.

Learning Through Collaboration

RADIUS Imaging’s CPD evenings are held quarterly and are primarily centred around case reviews presented by our sonography team. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity for our sonographers to share their experiences, discuss interesting and complex cases, and learn from one another.

For this session, Dr Ian Revfem organised for a specialist hand surgeon to join the team, providing our sonographers with the opportunity to hear directly from a specialist working in the field.

The session offered valuable insights into hand and wrist conditions, clinical presentation and the role of ultrasound in assessment and diagnosis. It also provided an opportunity to connect the clinical perspective with the imaging expertise of our sonography team.

Continuing to Develop Our Expertise

Regular CPD sessions are an important part of maintaining and developing clinical knowledge. By bringing together our sonographers and specialist clinicians, these evenings encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

We look forward to continuing our quarterly CPD program and creating further opportunities for our team to learn, collaborate and grow.

It was a fantastic evening of professional development for the RADIUS Imaging team.
