Rebatable CTCA Now Available at RADIUS Imaging Waurn Ponds

RADIUS Imaging is pleased to offer CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) at our Waurn Ponds clinic, providing local patients with access to cardiac imaging through a streamlined referral pathway.

For patients who may be eligible for rebatable CTCA, GPs can select “Cardiac telehealth consultation for rebatable CTCA” on the CTCA referral form.

The referral will be forwarded for a cardiology telehealth consultation to assess the patient’s suitability. If appropriate, the patient will proceed with their CTCA scan at RADIUS Imaging, with the cardiologist coordinating follow-up and communicating the results to the referring GP.

The CTCA scan is provided at no cost to eligible patients through this pathway. An out-of-pocket fee applies to the initial cardiology telehealth consultation.

To help streamline assessment and preparation, GPs are encouraged to attach a recent ECG and eGFR results, where available, and document any history of contrast allergy.

CTCA appointments are primarily available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at RADIUS Imaging Waurn Ponds, with additional appointments available where required.
