October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month, a time to recognise the vital role sonographers play in healthcare and raise awareness of their expertise, dedication and contribution to patient care.

Australasian Sonographers Day – 27 October

Each year on 27 October, Australia and New Zealand celebrate Australasian Sonographers Day — an opportunity to honour the profession and recognise the significant contribution sonographers make to the healthcare system.

The day celebrates the knowledge, skill and dedication of sonographers across the region, acknowledging the important work they do every day to support patients, clinicians and the wider healthcare community.

To celebrate Australasian Sonographers Day on Tuesday, 27 October, our Wellbeing Committee has organised a small gift for each of our sonographers as a token of appreciation for all that they do.
